Footwear Care
Essential Care for Your Footwear
Keeping your shoes in good condition prolongs their durability and life!
1. Regular Cleaning
Use a soft brush or damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.
For leather/skin footwear, use a specific moisturizing cream or leather polish.
Suede shoes should be gently brushed with a suede brush and treated with a suede renewing spray.
Patent leather shoes should be cleaned with a soft cloth and products designed for patent leather, which help to maintain their shine.
For fabric shoes, use a dry cleaning foam or a damp cloth with mild soap.
2. Protection Against Moisture
Avoid getting your shoes wet unnecessarily.
If your shoes get wet, let them dry naturally in the shade, never in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
Use waterproofing sprays to protect against water and stains. Especially on suede!
3. Proper Storage
Store shoes in dry, airy places.
Use shapes or crumpled paper to maintain the original shape.
Avoid stacking or folding shoes to avoid deforming them.
4. Conscious Use
Alternate between different pairs to avoid excessive wear on a single pair.
Use shoehorns to prevent damage to the buttress.
Avoid wearing the same shoes two days in a row to allow them to breathe and evaporate accumulated moisture.
5. Special Care
For fabric footwear, wash only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Rubber soles can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap.
If you need repairs, look for a trusted shoemaker to maintain the integrity of your footwear.
With these simple precautions, your shoes will last longer and always be impeccable!
